I find myself at times stuck in my thoughts and restless. My mind moving and stuck at the same time. Overload of responsibilities, Unorganized and overstressed. I don't realize until I lay down at night and can’t close my eyes, They appear to just keep opening. A night of tossing and turning completely distraught all through the night. Stuck in the past, lost in the future. I’ve learned that this is when I need to ground the most. My energy is out of me and my heart is missing me. While my mind is playing with me. As I begin to study myself fearlessly, it came to me that this is what I call mental imprisonment anxiety of the mind, a wounded masculine warrior deep inside. Here are steps to calm and free your mind.
1. Look yourself in the mirror and say: I appreciate you, I love you, thank you, I accept you.
2. Salt bath with warm water.
3. Deep breathing
4. Journal what’s on your mind.
5. Gratitude list.
6. Chamomile tea.
7. Stretching.
8. Technology detox.
9. Lo-Fi music.
10. Stop multitasking, and have a day of mindfulness.
11. Comb your hair or massage your head.
12. Sit in the dark, light a candle, and place your hands and energy on your heart.
